The first I-395/Route 9 Transportation Study biweekly project status update was issued on 2 November 2012. It should be noted that the PAC has not been paneled since the last PAC meeting of April 15, 2009; after almost 7 years of inactivity there is essentially no such thing as a Public Advisory Committee – it simply does not exist…
161 weeks have gone by with the possibility of 80 updates if provided biweekly as we were promised. Gretchen had to request many of the last updates occurring over the past year or so. Below you will find 24 reports, far below the 80 that should/could have been provided. One may use the excuse that there was nothing to report, but when you are faced with the unknown – as we have been over the past 15 years – even a report of inactivity would have been helpful. This is just another example of a failed process. (December 8, 2015)
7.06.2017: An update from the MDOT – the first update since July 2016; I believe this is at least the 6th project manager since 2000. And – this one thinks we actually support this project!!

9/30/2016: This letter was sent to those unfortunate residents in direct assault by this project that are losing their homes and some or all of their land and those that abut the right-of-way of the 2B-2 alternative. A POR form was attached (available upon request) looking for data, most of which is obtainable by anyone at any city or town hall, so I’m not feeling much of an obligation to assist the MaineDOT at this time…

6/8/2015: Latest project status update from the MaineDOT. Updates come few and far between and we really appreciate when they do come. However, if you look at the Study Update from June 8th and compare it to the Study Update from April 21st – what has really changed? Why is this taking so long?

Not part of the official updates, but my first request for an update via email on 2 March 2011. It needs to be noted that this Study was turned on its head by September 2010 and the Project Manager took it upon herself to withhold that critical information from me. To date, not one MaineDOT official has come forward to answer to or even acknowledge this manager’s unethical and deliberate action; that email is part of the Responses to Substantive Comments document and of course it wasn’t deemed substantive enough for an official comment.
